Recognizing HBCU students as today’s change-makers and culture drivers, AT&T created a fashion-forward experience at 4 select HBCUs during Homecoming Week to spread awareness for the 2024 AT&T Rising Future Makers Showcase.

Each year, AT&T connects 25 HBCU students to greater possibilities through this initiative, awarding each winner with a prize package that includes $5,000, a 5G-enabled tablet with 1 year of AT&T service, and access to the network of their dreams.

Activating at North Carolina A&T, Howard, Prarie View A&M, and FAMU, AT&T encouraged students to enter this contest through an experience that authentically connects the spirit of fashion at HBCU Homecoming with Gen-Z’s influence through social media.

Once registered upon entry, attendees received premiums that were designed in mind to show each school’s pride and style. This included a trendy camera bag and a customized T-shirt designed by RFM Alumni, Oluade Swan. After, guests were welcome to strut onto the digital runway photo op where a :30 supercut video was captured and ready to share.
