AT&T met WNBA fans at Pioneer Court during All-Star Weekend, with an activation where basketball and local culture took center court in the heart of Chicago. The interactive outdoor destination invited fans to play, create, meet players, and connect with the energy of the league’s biggest weekend of the year. In partnership with D’ana Nunez, artwork added playful and interactive cues to the space that blended bold color, pattern, and type to Chicago’s vibrant culture.

Guests were actively engaged across multiple touchpoints. Fans could step onto the Free Play Court and shoot around, customize an All-Star tote bag, take part in photo-worthy social moments, and meet past and present WNBA superstars, from A’ja Wilson to Stud Budz to Sue Bird and many more!

As a new take on a Pop-A-Shot challenge, our very own interactive game, “Get Buckets for Small Biz” helped unlock basket-driven, fan-powered donations of up to $150,000 for three Chicago women-owned businesses: Angela’s Southside Tours, Dey Tha MUA and Fat Peach Bakery. Participants received 50% off AT&T accessories to connect them to the excitement of All-Star and the local community.

AT&T Customers were exclusively rewarded through our Blind Box Experience, in which AT&T Customers choose a mystery box that included a giveaway curated by AT&T athletes, A’ja Wilson and Sabrina Ionescu. These giveaways were culturally relevant, collectible pieves that deepened fan connection and gave fans something they were excited to wear, share, and keep. AT&T Customers had the opportunity to win autographed player cards, an A’ja Wilson bag charm, a Sabrina Ionescu water bottle, autographed All-Star jerseys, an A’ja Wilson power bank, tees designed by D’ana Nunez, Sabrina Ionescu trucket hat, and tickets to the WNBA All-Star events throughout the weekend.
